Colombia's River of Five Colors
Did you know Colombia has a river nicknamed the "liquid rainbow"? From roughly June to November, an aquatic plant called Macarenia clavigera turns Caño Cristales vivid red, while sand, algae and water add yellow, green, blue and black. For those few months it may be the most colorful river on the planet.
