Did you know Bhutan is carbon negative? Its constitution requires at least 60% of the land to stay forested forever — over 70% currently is — so its forests soak up more CO₂ than the whole country emits. Fittingly low-tech: the capital Thimphu has no traffic lights, just white-gloved police directing cars by hand.
