A Cathedral Carved Entirely From Salt
Did you know there's a chapel 328 feet or 100 meters underground in Poland carved completely out of rock salt? In the Wieliczka Salt Mine near Kraków, miners spent decades sculpting St. Kinga's Chapel — altars, statues, floor tiles, even the chandelier crystals are salt. The mine operated for over 700 years and is one of UNESCO's original World Heritage sites.
